A typical day is a lot of walking around the hospital. I learned how a hospital operates and learned management skills. Staff and patients appreciate you. You smell and see some horrible things in a hospital setting. Walking around the hospital and talking to people.

Good place to work

Currently a Mobility Coach. Because of my work experience, I was paid higher than minimum wage and aside from only being able to work maximum 40 hours a week, I enjoy it. Though some months I only work 32 hours a week because the part time guy at my facility wants to be full time, but our manager does try to give us extra shifts if we're on a short month. Currently because of the pandemic, some of the company is on furlough depending where you're at in the country and there's no clear time on when we'll be allowed back into the hospital. They give you opportunities to increase your pay every 6 months between employee advancement and annual start date. Company pays to send you to California for orientation week. I also have to add that those of us on furlough have our health insurance covered by HQ.

The business claims work and life balance, untrue. They don’t care about burn out. Worst DOO to work for. Can’t trust coworkers especially the Program Managers. If you love drama then apply to this job.

Possibly a good company, poor managment in individual sites.
|
Cons-
Health and safety are not held at a high regard.
Lack of PPE.
Lack of resources and on-site training to complete job.
Poor management, lack of support and presence of manager on-site.
No trust or loyaty with management.
High secrecy, no open or truthful communication.
Intimidation tactics are used to silence those who ask honest questions, or ensure their rights as employees.
Disorganization.
Lack of integrity and unprofessionalism.
Pros- The academy in CA was incredible with great instructors.
Interesting equipment.
Greatest lesson learned- Undestand the laws of your state including The Department of labor and OSHA if you consider working here. I would not advise it though.

It's literally a 24/7 job. If your Lift Coach calls off, you better be prepared to step in. (Calls come in all hours of the night) Your DOO in Phoenix will tell you the job is more important than anything in your personal life. You are expected to drop everything and run to your facility. There is no support from the DOO. She is often on vacation or no where to be found. The phone rings literally all night. The hours are insane.
