Great to stay for a year then leave
|
Management needs to prioritize the culture as an area to focus on. The empty suits at this company can make your experience miserable. You'll get reprimanded for things you don't know instead of providing an opportunity to learn. Stick with those that actually care about you and expanding your time. They pay under industry standards, and benefits are substandard.

Growing Pains
|
The company is just starting to move from a small business, so there are the natural growing pains as it competes with companies that have thousands of employees.
Everyone who works there is friendly and happy to help with anything. The culture is amazing.

Not a great experience
|
Managers are overworked and asked to do a lot. The company seemed to have lost its way and is chasing growth at the cost of its employees. Overall it was a negative professional experience for me. The lack of communication from managers and inability to use my skills on projects was beyond frustrating.

Growing firm with great people, leadership under appreciates staff
|
The firm is growing and has been for years but the firm's leadership doesn't foster professional development and doesn't fight to retain existing staff with competitive salaries - even at the risk of losing substantial institutional knowledge. This shortcoming is especially pertinent at this stage of the firms growth from small to large and must be addressed for the firm to continue to be successful in the future. Entry-level staff aren't "trained" in how to be consultants and mid-level staff aren't trained how to manage. As a result, the firm is going through a period of turn-over because staff know they can get better offers elsewhere.
The people are great and my experience there has been largely positive.

Entire team was invited for strategic planning 2 day offsite!
|
Most of the leadership team is highly engaged with staff. Enjoyed the cultural diversity and working with sharp, talented Millennials. Atlas is truly committed to their client's mission. They strongly advocate for healthcare for veterans and less privileged populations. People were fun and energized. There was a bit of a culture clash due to fast growth that impacted some people. At the time, there seemed a lack of opportunity for growth with the company. Very focused on developing early career professionals.

I worked more closely at the client site as opposed to working at the actual Atlas office. Although I was remote, Atlas kept me inform of changing occurring at the office. Atlas believes in work life balance and makes every effort to keep their employees happy. They even have a "Fun Time" committee.

Atlas is a great launching pad
|
Atlas Research is a great launching pad into a firm with better benefits and remote work options. They do offer great training opportunities and more opportunity to gain experience. They do not promote nor pay well. It is typical to leave Atlas and come back as a management position.

Fast-paced, constantly changing work enviroment
|
Positive:
Atlas provide a great place for personal and professional development. They will invest in you and truly care about your growth.
Negative:
It is common and even expected that you work over 40 hour weeks for almost any position in the company.
Atlas seems to be expanding faster than they can keep up with.
