Management is terrible. They have made bad decision after bad decision and are driving the company into the ground. Pay is terrible for those who actually do the bulk of the work but if you're a top executive who does nothing you get paid handsomely. Turnover rate is high and HR does not care to investigate why. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 277723 Open 0.0
Thank you for taking the time to give some feedback. Fortunately, we are humble learners, hold ourselves and each other accountable, and are quick to make changes when we fail. It can be inefficient sometimes and it can be maddening to not get to the correct answer right away, but we have many feedback mechanisms from which we compile information to make improvements – both from customers and employees. We are very fortunate to receive some helpful feedback from these mechanisms, which we use to make better decisions going forward.

I can assure you that HR is quite aware of the reason(s) why each individual has left the Company – some within our control and others that weren’t. private:atlasrfid https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=277723 Mar 25th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Atlas RFID Solutions Birmingham, AL Full of potential and proceeding with caution.... The company is in a growth phase and is full of potential. The executive team is thoughtful and works hard to consider all consequences (positive and negative) of their decisions. There is a focus on making sure the right people are "on the bus" and "in the right seat on the bus". Management and HR work hard to listen to employees regarding workplace conditions, whether the company is delivering on our stated guiding principles, what motivates them, and their career goals. That feedback is considered in a "no fault", improvement focused environment and changes are implemented. As a result, this company has grown from a place where a small number of people worked as if they were conquering the world into a more mature, balanced environment which is inviting to those who are highly skilled and intrinsically motivated to be the best because they would not consider being anything less. Sometimes it takes too long to get the wrong people "off the bus". The vast majority of the company are A-players who are committed to making a best-in-class product. In an effort to try to find a fit for an employee, sometimes people with poor attitudes are allowed to stay longer than they should. Although, I think that is improving with time and experience. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 3.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 277723 Open 0.0
I really appreciate you taking the time to write this review. The last layoff conducted by Atlas was in October 2008 – an event that has significantly impacted growth decisions made by the company’s leadership since that time – specifically, decisions that support conservative, disciplined, yet consistent growth. private:atlasrfid https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=277723 Mar 21st, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Atlas RFID Solutions United States USA Proceed with caution Passionate coworkers who do their best despite big problems at the top. Flexibility. Always feel like nothing you do is good enough. C-suite says they care about the employees but several common practices say otherwise. They have a reputation for not following through with promised raises. Despite being a small company with what they say is an open-door policy, senior leadership does not talk to employees who are not in management roles. HR gives regular anonymous feedback surveys to the entire company. The surveys are not actually anonymous, and employees who give negative feedback are singled out and experience career repercussions. Negative feedback is also largely ignored. The employees are practically begging management to change, yet they are not taken seriously. Atlas used to be a great place to work, but now morale is very low and management's separation from everyone else increases all the time. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 4.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 277723 Open You can still turn things around if you just listen to your employees, accept their negative feedback and try to fix what is wrong. Indeed, we have very high expectations of our employees and coworkers do of each other as well. It can be stressful at times. The type of people who thrive in our environment are those who are specifically seeking a challenging, fast paced, competitive, transparent (sometimes to a fault), high risk but high reward culture. This is what we desire to be and actively seek people who are looking for that as well. In return, Atlas has always followed through on the promise to give employees the opportunity to take ownership of their area of responsibility and the autonomy to make a difference. In fact, 39 people (30% of the company) were promoted with an increase in responsibility in 2016. We also have an annual compensation review process, which is based entirely on merit, during which we reward those who have exceeded expectations with above-average compensation increases. In these cases, we ABSOLUTELY rewarded “yes” people – those people who have the determination to say “yes, I will figure out that problem” or “yes, my team will work together to accomplish that important goal” or “yes, I will come back to you will a recommendation for the most appropriate next steps”.

We regularly and openly accept and act upon constructive feedback. These are often acknowledged during our quarterly company-wide meetings where our CEO gives company updates on the status of our company goals. In fact, the majority of this year’s annual goals are derived directly from helpful employee feedback, which we seek fervently and take very seriously. During these quarterly meetings, our CEO also holds “Town Hall” (an open, informal discussion) and conducts an awards “ceremony” where those who went “above and beyond the call of duty” are recognized by him for their specific accomplishments. These quarterly events are fantastic opportunities for employees at all levels and across all departments to interact.

In conclusion, I agree with the title of this post – “Proceed with Caution”. Because we need people who are self-motivated, determined to accomplish their goals, and who consider every day a professional challenge with the opportunity to dive in to the ambiguity and learn something new.
