I felt like I was going to continue working there but it wasn't in my cards. Especially with COVID. I was given a two weeks notice of being let go and that was the only con. I feel like I didn't get to finish the end of my internship.

ATLATL is a start up and with that comes a fast paced work environment and a lot of changes. Flexibility is needed in the company. If you are someone that does not work well in environments with a lot of changes and that is fast paced you could have a difficult time in a start up environment.

I have been working at Atlatl for over three years and I am impressed by how far it has come. My first couple of years at Atlatl were very challenging due to my mixed feelings for the place, and the confused direction of the company’s path. But I’m not here to discuss Atlatl’s past, I’m here to discuss what Atlatl has become. The work we do is indeed challenging and fast paced, but it is rewarding to see the outcome of everyone's hard work and dedication. Everyone has a direct impact on the products they work on. Atlatl is filled with determined people that are full of energy and are willing to go the extra mile to get the work done. It is also full of great mentors that are willing to help and guide you in the right direction.
Atlatl is a very different company now than it was when I first started. The direction the company is heading is much more focused. Since Marc-y Marc joined us as CEO, the management team has become much more transparent because we are all equally invested in Atlatl’s success. Atlatl has become a great place to work at and I’m happy to be a part of it.

My cons about Atlatl could also be considered pros based on your perspective. As I mentioned above, the work we do is challenging and fast-paced. When we choose to work nights or weekends it's because we are so invested in the product we are working on, and the team we are working with, that we all want to put in 110% to see it (and us) succeed. I will not lie, there are times where the work can be crazy and overwhelming, but that’s what makes Atlatl a great place to learn and grow. If you are the type of person that enjoys a challenge and desires the opportunity to feel true ownership in a product, then Atlatl is the right place for you.

I work on the sales side of this organization. I've had the pleasure of working with large manufacturers in the CPG space, along with enterprise tech firms, and start up tech firms, and I can say with certainty that this is my ideal company to work for.
Our leadership team is well rounded with expertise in finance, operations, manufacturing, and sales - but even with all of their years of expertise, I as a rep have direct input into the sales process and negotiating strategies of the company. I can utilize the full breadth of my skillset on a daily basis. The work is challenging and engaging, but the company is all pointed in one direction and I get to work with A level players in each department.
There are no weak links here, and our product is absolutely gorgeous. This is a sales reps dream.

Working at any startup can be very difficult, time consuming outside of normal business hours, and you must be willing to be agile in many situations. While I don't see this as a con, if you are not accustomed to this type of environment, then any startup company isn't for you.
