The negative reviews are from current or former employees who are beyond naive. The new leadership team showed us that for years past customer losses exceeded new sales, yet some commenter says "Lisa B. got out at the right time?" Does anyone recall the monthly meetings that were instituted where all financial information is presented, yet someone says "no transparency." Paul is strategically getting rid of as many employees as possible to run a skeleton crew who were already overworked. Company is on its way out. New CEO was brought in to sell the company. private:atomiclearning https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=440851 Jan 30th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Atomic Learning Sales Manager United States USA No sales leads + broken product = no new sales -Friendly coworkers -PTO is nice for 1st year (which is needed to deal with stress of the job) -benefits are good -there is no lead generation cold calling into to distrcts is very time entensive -the public can not tell what it is the Atomic Learning does -product seems to think changing our name to Hoonuit will some how make our past change and the leads to come in -new VP of sales every year that brings ideas and even more changes -pricing increase every year to product -huge discounts to get them to purchase -leadership team has lack of education needs and experience in management roles -turn over is highest I have seen in years with other companies -no training on the site sell with the documents provided by marketing which are not updated to show support -marketing to one department to purchase the Professional Development package we offer, then when passed to customer support team asking them to integrate outside of the department making the purchase. Confusing customer as to what their funds are really buying -claiming to be Professional Development, less then half of the library actually could be for PD for teachers -salary is low compared industry offerings -compensation package changes often -asked to sell outside product to current customers and prospects even if they don't add value to the core library. Executive team is horrible ever since our CEO left - and the reason she left is because of the unethical things that our CFO did. Disgusting. Now we are left to trust our CFO to run our company until the new CEO gets in place?? Ridiculous. Executive and Leadership team do not hold people accountable. Employees sit around and do nothing for the majority of the day, and leadership sits right next to them and don't say a word, yet the ones that do their work consistently, never get recognized - that is, unless you are on the "golden team"...but most of them are in a special "group" to help make decisions. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 5.0 3.0 5.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 440851 Open Holding company(s) - open your eyes and see what your "great" executive team is really all about. We don't even have enough sales to account for all the Finance people?? years ago, they had more sales and did it with only 3 people! 2 of them are so bored and want more work and 1 of them loves getting paid to sit around doing nothing, except worrying about decorating the office! The company values employees and coworkers treat each other like "famALy." Leadership is open and honest and gives you the tools you need to be successful - you are empowered and encouraged to take calculated risks and make good decisions. AL has been on the Top Workplaces in MN list for many years. It is all-around a great place to work. The company changes with the market, so if you are resistant to change, this is not the place for you. Local staff are treated much better than sales staff. Sales management does not understand education market. Lots of talk & no follow through, no consistency in pricing, poor sales commission plan.
