Fun at first if you're into cliques. Wanna have fun, get a position on the shop floor.

Working for this company in the beginning is great. Everybody is very welcoming and appear to be happy that you have come on board. Once they learn a little bit about you they decide which clique you belong to in their head. Unless you want to sit in an office all day taking credit for a job well done when it's the men and women on the shop floor that did the work and got no recognition for it, i can guarantee you won't be invited to be a member of their clique.

The most unhappy place I have worked, management philosophy is to beat people into submission. No leadership, noone steering the ship, simply stated they have very high profit margins with very little room for deviation so every project appears to be red, everything feels like a failure.

This company used to build great equipment and demonstrated a great employee related culture. Then ATS Automation came along, and completely transformed the culture to one of command and control, distrust, and low morale. Very sad...

Was a decent place to work…until ATS assimilated them into their collective

Command and Conquer…this is the mode of ATS Corporate Management, and they do their best to recruit like-minded individuals to manage their many sites. ATW automation Inc is loosing all of their best people, due to weak management at the site level, and brutal management at the corporate level. The ATS Management mentality is that employees are all expendable, are mere commodities to replace whenever one leaves or burns out. Management is definitely the achilles heal of the organization.
Some decent coworkers to work with, however most of them are completely demoralized because of the brutality of the management for which they work. Morale at ATW is low, and continues to drop over time.
Singularly, the most difficult aspect of working for ATW (ATS) is dealing with the Management. The Management is myopically focussed on revenue recognition, profit margins and stock prices…never on the customer, the equipment produced or the service rendered to the customer. Non-customer centric for certain.
The most enjoyable part of the job, is the bonding one experiences with fellow co-workers who have been brutalized and neglected by management.
