If you're looking for a side job to supplement your actual jobs income then this job is okay but nothing too serious no real long-term possibilities eventually everything will be replaced by online no actual future unless you're trying to move into corporate or the tech side.

Alot of training is available. Everyone is very patient, helpful, friendly and respectful. Only negative is that the auctions are once a month therefore it's an only part-time job. Great company though.

So much fun and a great team

I’ve worked for Auction.com twice as an auction coordinator, once about 5 years ago and again now. In Washington state we can only auction on Fridays so hours are limited but other states allow auctions more frequently so hours may vary. This is probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a job - you get to be on site instead of in an office, get to meet tons of interesting people, and get to work on your public speaking skills. It’s fast paced and I love the feeling of getting SO MUCH done at the end of an auction day. Management is highly concerned with your success and development and invests serious time in your training and wants you to do well, they are very supportive. Cannot recommend this company enough!!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at Auction was the ability to be innovative. You have an idea? Try it! If it works, document and share with your peers. If they like it, then take it to your management team and explain why it’s a better option, and then it becomes standard. It’s amazing like that.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
A lot of expectations, with short timelines. So you always feel like you’re stressed with a timer going off.
And, where one department works that way - the same attitude may not be the same with another department.
So there is some resentment between departments- why do I have to work this hard, and you’re not? Or another department isn’t as transparent with their level of work.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like a lot of companies, there is A LOT of change happening, all the time. There also doesn’t ever seem to be enough employees to do all the work that is expected.
Always feels like there is another set of layoffs going to happen next week.

Decent Part-time Job
|
A decent part time job that paid well. Great job for anyone who likes to work outside of an office and enjoys interaction with bidders. The job had constant changes to the coordinators operational system and processes. That part made the job unnecessarily stressful. I did feel that the coordinators were micro managed.

Great place to work and grow

Auction.com is a great company that is very inclusive with lots of room to grow. There are several of my colleagues who have moved into full time roles in other parts of the country, who started out as a Contract Writer. If you want to grow and advance with the company, there is lots of room for it.
I did not foresee myself working with Auction.com in the capacity that I have moved into, initially only seeking to learn more about the auction process for personal reasons, but it has been great. I can certainly foresee myself doing even more with the company.
