Company's product lost its audience and ceased operations.

It looked like a great small business opportunity in January of 2010, but it did not continue its success of 2008 and 2009. It's niche product technology was beginning to become stale and and the big diagnostic imaging vendors stepped-in with "me too" products at price points that made the Aurora product a very hard sell, despite its refined technology.
The company today has only a skeleton staff of accounting and sub-contracted service providers for the remaining installed base of systems. The last system shipped in July of 2013. As far as I am aware, no additional systems have been produced.
Very sad situation for all of us who worked so hard to make it happen.

I was a secretary, I greeted customers and I answered calls. I inputted new and updated old invoices in the computer. I also filed invoices.

Productive and fun workplace

Liked th work, dealing with the people and I like the challenge it gave me but it was a start up that was not profitable yet. The management was nice and easy to work for and the co-workers were always helpful to each other. the most enjoyable part was the dealing with the people both customers and co-workers

Upper management inteffers 2 1/2 stars

Upper management (ie VP's) inteffer with the decision making process instead of leaving it up to the production, purchasing, QC, Shipping / Receiving and planning. Upper management always overides personnel.
