Finding ways to help employees continue to grow/develop despite lack of opportunity for career advancement internally will be crucial. Alternatively, restructuring to create more of an hierarchy that leaves room for advancement would be ideal. You've hired great talent, learn to trust them, learn to listen, and lead from beside.

Must be a self starter and organized. While plenty of direction is given you must be ready to self motivate as a lot of t rust is put into Avantlink Employees by management. Not everyone will love the commute and sometimes parking can be tough in the winter.

There are very few. Maybe size, hard to climb the corporate ladder. Perhaps if you don't live in the greater Park City area the commute could be challenging at times.

AvantLink offers decent pay compared to other companies located in the Utah and Park City especially. Ski pass benefits are great and work/flex hours are nice for those who want to enjoy the active Park City lifestyle. Multiple team/company parties attempt to create a great "culture". Self-funded and not run on investor capital.

Overall management practices are lacking and at the end of the day, it's very much a place to simply earn a paycheck and not to move forward in your career. Though in business for 10+ years, AvantLink still acts very much like a 2nd year start-up lacking experienced leadership to drive the company and it's employees forward. Communication is poor and and room for growth is stifled often due to the secretive nature of a family run business. There could also be a better approach to HR as gender bias issues, bullying and employee undermining remain serious problems in the work space and those who have complained have seemed to not have jobs to go back to. What appears to be a fantastic culture due to efforts to have a "fun workplace" is actually a rotating door of employees.

Great small company! Excellent pay in a ski-town where most people offer awful pay, care about their employees, offer great benefits and flexibility, and generally a positive and team-oriented environment. Company lunch bike rides in the summer, very laid back, but everyone works hard and gets their work done.
