Wayspring is a small, but rapidly growing company. I always feel heard when bringing up recommendations. Many of my ideas have been seen through to fruition! It is a great feeling. My manager is always asking about my career goals and makes sure I am involved in areas that I am interested. For example, I found that I enjoy helping with training and development. I expressed that to my manager, and I now help run all of the training and development in my department. You are not just a small fish in a big sea here. Your interests, ideas, and concerns are always heard.

With the rapid growth of the company, things change a lot. That is not always a bad thing, but you will want to be good at adapting! I have noticed in my time here that things change a bit less each year, but still something to be aware of.

The front-line staff who are directly impacting the members truly care about the individuals and have a passion for providing quality services to people.
|
Leadership of the company does not listen to or understand what front-line staff experience on a daily basis and does not foster an environment that allows staff to voice concerns or struggles. Company has shifted it's focus from outcomes to money and restructured the organization so many times that no one is ever able to execute their job functions to the best of their ability because all you do is learn new workflows. Top leadership only wants people who are "yes men" below them and don't allow for open dialogue about changes that impact staff and the people the company is helping. Very toxic work environment.

There is nothing special about this company. They will try to recruit you based off the mission of the organization but quickly you will learn this is just another start up trying to make money. HR not great. No one really knows what's going on. The left hand and the right hand are not working together. Its a bit of a mess.

I don’t think there’s enough space for me to sing the praises to show how much I love working at Wayspring. I have never worked for a company that cares for its employees as much as Wayspring does. I truly feel seen and heard here. I feel like I matter; that my input counts. The generous amount of PTO that we get is unmatched. I truly feel that the company cares about work-life balance. The remote position fits what I need for myself and my family. I love that there is a connection between all departments. Everyone supports everyone. We are able to provide services to a population who really are underserved. The members we serve truly matter to not just those of us who are member facing, but they genuinely matter to everyone who works at Wayspring. From those of us involved with members daily to the executives, you can see the passion for serving others. I love this company!!
