Mostly remote although there seems to be a shift away from that if you live in the dmv area. There’s a cult like culture that some try to force down your throat. There’s been some dramatic changes lately and Axios no longer feels like Axios. Their compensation is not up to par with the industry or competitive. The review system they have in place that determines if you get a raise is broken and if your manager isn’t fond of you then don’t expect to get a raise even if you deserve it. The disorganization from the top down is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I’ve witnessed a lot of toxicity within the last 6 months, gaslighting of employees, and workplace bullying. Depending where you fall on the workplace “hierarchy” you may feel like you’re dispensable & some of the executives/ppl at the top are unbearable. Solid ads business, solid tech talent, overall great outlookfor a media company. Leadership is thoughtful, and the managers I interact with are extremely empathetic and patient. Most individuals here are good natured and smart. Cox deal was well timed and in my opinion, an excellent decision.
