Very poor wages, I accepted the poor wages but I guess I kept asking for more and more money.... that's odd... I never mentioned my wage, oh wait! that was my manager!, a training program that consists of 2 weeks maybe and then you're off to full duty work hopefully you're intelligent and can teach yourself, very poor training to say the least. Communication in this company is absolutely HORRIBLE, literally you'll get better results relaying information to a brick wall. Management.... they really do not have a grasp on what is going on, why? because the manager of the technicians doesn't even reside in the same state, not even in the same time zone!
Work hours... well, pretty much if you want to only work, maybe sleep a few hours return to work, possibly eat a meal as quickly as you can while you drive quickly to your next job, it is the perfect job for you!!!! VERY short staffed, hours in a two week period could range from 125-190 hours, several 20+ hour days, a few 24 hour days, one 36 hour days... think you'd be told to go home a rest? nope.. back to work!
Safety? Whats that? This company is an OSHA inspectors dream.... Mainly, having a death wish is required to work for this company, as you never know if your extremely weather checked ladder is going to randomly break and send to you to the ground 18-20 feet down.
Equipment, state of the art meters from a decade ago, tools? well you typically have to buy those yourself as anything that is given to you is more than likely broken. Amplifiers? well, lets use technology that is so outdated that you can't even obtain technical manuals for anymore. Need new equipment, re-manufactured equipment from the manufacturer itself? Nah... eBay is a better choice, if it doesn't work it's your fault.
Materials, RG6 fittings.. hmm.. out of stock, well shoot how is a cable technician going to do his job when he can't even make a cable segment without RG6 fittings, I had to actually go out and buy some with my own money... sad, that I used to be that dedicated to this company I was willing to do so.
Company vehicles, consider them rolling death traps... if they can save money, they will, they'll use incorrect tires on vehicles, even buy used tires if they can, Anti-lock brakes? who needs that?
Back to communication...... remember, talking to a brick wall is more effective than attempting to pass information through management.
Overall company to customer.... FALSE ADVERTISING, the company is not capable of providing (mainly broadband) service that is even remotely close to what the customer is paying for, I wonder how many FCC & BBB complaints this company has. CSRs outright lie to customers, sell them services that aren't even available in their areas, they'll do whatever they can to make a sale.
