It was definitely a challenging learning experience and the people are friendly. | Benvenue was a small medical device start-up company with less than 100 employees. The atmosphere was friendly and everyone there treated me like part of the family. I was given the opportunity to work with multiple departments such as Material Handling, Shipping and Receiving, Building and Equipment Maintenance, Networking, and Purchasing. Management treated us fairly and were in tune with employee needs. The overall culture was professional and casual. The most difficult part of the job was keeping up with a fast paced and rapidly changing environment. The best part of the job was interacting with fellow employees to complete projects. | 0.0 | 0.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | Jan 18th, 2021 07:52AM | Mar 20th, 2021 01:12PM | Benvenue Medical | Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology

The atmosphere was competitive and cut throat, but not in a healthy way. Everyone was scared and trying not to lose their jobs and be sued for a reason made up by the paranoid CEO. I performed four full-time jobs (QA/Document Control Specialist, Office-Safety-Facilities Manager) and was only given one title and salary, which did not reflect the actual work I performed. Nor was I ever recognized for working 17 hours a day to get the company ISO certified in less than a year. | I learned a ton | Abusive environment | 0.0 | 0.0 | 3.0 | 1.0 | 2.0 | 1.0 | 3.0 | 1.0 | Jan 18th, 2021 07:52AM | Mar 19th, 2021 09:55PM | Benvenue Medical | Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology

private:benvenuemedical | https://www.indeed.com/cmp/benvenue-medical/reviews | Dec 27th, 2014 12:00AM | Open | Open | Benvenue Medical | R&D Engineer: Intern | Santa Clara, CA | USA | Lunch rides on the bay and weekly, all-company meetings. | Every Friday morning, the CEO holds a meeting in the break room. Heads of each department share with the entire company their department's progress that week: what projects are underway and what goals are met/unmet. Every day there is either a lunch run or lunch ride; sometimes both! Most rides are cyclocross although there are also frequent road rides. The culture of the rides is welcoming to newcomers and also challenging for pros. Every workstation has multiple extra chairs and it is common to see engineers collaborating on various projects. While the workplace is very professional and things like pranks and practical jokes are non-existent, there are many hilarious workplace traditions. For example, when an employee from Wisconsin was hired, she used a giant cheese head on top of her cubicle to signify the need for input from other employees. Overall, phenomenal culture. Although I don't know for sure, I would not be surprised if the CEO knew the names of everyone in production and distribution and vice versa. It's just that kind of business. | Daily lunch rides/runs. Weekly free breakfast. Last Friday: burritos! | None I have discovered thus far. | 0.0 | 0.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | 5.0 | Jan 18th, 2021 07:52AM | Mar 20th, 2021 01:34AM | Benvenue Medical | Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology |
