There are some growing pains that occur as a company grows, but it's clear that leadership has the best intentions. Also, if you don't like working really hard, this probably isn't the place you want to be. But then again, you may have never experienced the joy that comes with hard work being meaningful, appropriately recognized, and rewarded.

While the vast majority of people are genuinely nice people, there are a few in leadership positions that are quite emotionally abusive. If interviewing be sure to ask specifically how they handle stressful situations within their team.

There were good people during my time at Betterworks and decent health insurance.

The product is unnecessary unless you are committed to OKRs. Employees want consistent feedback, but not another middleware system they must log into. There was also a lot of turnover and turmoil.

Very poor Management. Very partiality based promotions, where there no clear criteria how to get promotions! For each person different stories are told. Being a performance management product, the people who got recent promotions have No goals created nor 1% progress, but they are now promoted to lead a team. Betterworks has become a toxic place in very short time. Most employees are frustrated and waiting for an oppurtunity to get out!

US teams should look into indian team decisions! Very poor and partial management. No proof of data for anything! People can say whatever they want in terms of experience! No background check. One wrong promotion and you loose most valuable employees.

Engineering management is just a word for this company, no job is done. Everyone at the higher level are good at talking and when the time comes to acknowledge and appreciate the employees, it's the people who are good at talking like them are appreciated. Working style is not good at all and Indian team needs to stay up late just to attend their meetings. No proper path of work. The environment here is very frustrating and day by day it is getting worse. The product is all about employee engagement but i guess that just implies for some of the employees only.
