Very disorganized place to work. They play favorites and discriminate against people of color. Upper management doesn't care about what's happening. They'll hire POC into Accounting department and then make their life miserable and force them to leave and rinsd and repeat the cycle. Turnover is extremely high and can't keep people for long.

Management doesn’t know what they’re doing. The company is disorganized and has high employee turnover and the people that are still there are not happy with their jobs.
Some people got promoted due to favoritism and not due to their technical skills, therefore you have people that don’t know what they’re doing and/or have poor communication and people skills as supervisors.

Good Overall Experience, Wish there was more rom for growth

If you are an experienced child welfare employee with a reasonably friendly relationship with senior management you can be very successful and find much upper mobility in any position you enter. There is tons of room for professional experience working with a variety of service agencies, attorneys, (the court systems in general) and the youth. Vacation and sick leave is very flexible. This is a family-centered business and it was always clear that personal family matters come first.

I always felt like I worked in a friendly and caring environment but my lack of previous experience in the child welfare system is something that I couldn't make up for ( in the eyes' of upper management) despite the training I received. Great benefits but so so salary.
