It's not often you find a company this is as focused on its employees, as much as it is on it's bottom line. BillingTree has been great at both. As a growing company, BT has been great at listening to their employees, who are out in the trenches. They have built products around the intel being provided by those employees. They seem to hire people who have a similar focus and mindset. They make it fun to come to work and stay. With growth often comes some frustrations. Snacks? Gym Reimbursement The Technology is actually pretty great (Drastically depends on the industry you are selling to) Volunteer time Benefits are decent I've never been part of a company where the top end Executives are more disconnected. (I've never dealt with a CEO that was more disconnected to her entire sales staff then at BillingTree) For a technology company, they utilize technology horribly. Terrible CRM Unwilling to make needed changes, or realize that they service more then 1 vertical. Pay compared to industry standard is about 30% under where it should be for the expectations. Have Realistic expectations based on the vertical of your individual employee's. Or actually talk to them so you can listen. Not everyone wants to complain and be negative. Utilize technology, for being a "tech Company" or trying to sell as an SAAS, they utilize technology in a terrible way. Manual Application process? Get a CRM that actually makes sense and is easy to use. OR, maybe provide actual training on the CRM that you use? Or how about even providing some sort of training? If you don't make friends with someone internally very quick you are going to struggle. Show some love to your other verticals outside of Collections/Healthcare. The Collections VP of Sales is amazing. Words really can't describe how great he is from a knowledge source, manager and a resource for the entire company. The problem is he is one person and can't help every vertical with everything from sales to internal technology infrastructure. He is one of the few people on the Exec team that is actually willing to help the sales people regardless of vertical--He cant be spread this thin. Other people need to step up. I can keep going, but I really don't want to continue investing my time in trying to help this company succeed. The best asset of BillingTree is the great culture that it offers and it starts with the C level employees. They treat everyone with respect, kindness, fairly, and positive attitude each and every day. All employees show a great amount of confidence in each other to get the appropriate work done and even beyond that if needed. Overall, it is an excellent place to work and a great opportunity to grow within a small, but growing company. I also can't forget, we do like to have fun at the office and at our occasional office happy hours. Leadership trusts us to make decisions around the work we are doing, and to deliver on the timelines we commit ourselves to. We work hard, but are rewarded with flexibility to start and end our days as professionals.
