Most the people you work with are quite nice, the projects are fast-paced and somewhat interesting, nice to be around so many talented, unique people.
|
There is no work-life balance, some project managers are overly demanding and toxic, oftentimes people have no agency or growth potential. Hours are long, pay is low, and some leads are insensitive to your needs. Projects are becoming self-similar and new opinions and approaches are pushed aside. Extremely hardworking and talented people are often put down in a somewhat toxic environment.
There is more hierarchy than it seems.
