Where to start....we're a small team which at a normal and functional company would be an amazing advantage. But alas, everyone is walking on egg shells.
Be on the look out, for your fellow co-worker will not hesitate to throw you under the bus; ensuring they stay in the CEO's good graces. Or the CEO will seek you out and repeatedly hit you with said bus because he decided you're his least favorite this week.
The greatest trick you'll encounter is the illusion that you have any power over business decisions. You are a puppet my dear friends; a puppet of a delusional egomaniac who will twist your strings and kill every ounce of creativity and motivation you have.
And for the final trick...deceitful business practices which include a strap design that internally they know is faulty leading to hundreds of dropped cameras.

It's time for you to realize that you are the biggest obstacle to success of a great product. You are using others to blame your failure in business and leadership ability on the downfall of the company. You can essentially make your own schedule, great people in the shipping department. The product would have a lot of potential if it weren’t defective.
|
The CEO has no idea how to run a business or listen to experienced employees that understand how sales and marketing work. If something doesn’t go his way or if he receives push back, he acts like a petulant child and retaliates with personal attacks. Communication in the company is poor despite its tiny size and there is constant stress from the poor sales due to a faulty product they refuse to address or change. The business dealings are shady, and the company itself is very dishonest.....especially in their hiring practices. If you’re feeling even an ounce of hesitation, go with it and RUN. I would honestly be surprised if they last another 6 months.

Black Rapid is a tiny company that is very much subject to the decisions of its executives who do not often base their choices on market research or realities. They do not pay well. Internal communication is very poor despite the size of the company.

Great product (when it's not defective.) Black Rapid fans are great, loyal people.

The CEO is an absolute nightmare. Has no idea what he's doing and is bringing the ship down with him. He purges people because he's insecure about his own shortcomings and lack of education. Somewhere, someone told him he is creative and he believed them. Problem is, he didn't even invent the product but he has convinced himself that he did (believes his own lies) which means he walks around thinking and acting like he's Steve Jobs when in reality he's more like Michael Scott.
