The management puts great emphasis on working at a fast pace in order so reach a certain goal. they also like to remind you that if you reach that goal everyday, you'll have opportunities for advancement which is not the case. Their managers have no idea what they're doing and barely know how to count. Managers also have their favorites. The warehouse is very hot.

If you are looking to make a quick paycheck
|
This company is not a long term position and you should not treat it as such. 1st about 90% of the crew in the building are dominican this means that a good majority speak very little English. As a picker your day will consist of picking garments and placing them on hanging colored trolleys, and push carts that you then roll through the warehouse. these are done in sequence blue, green orange, yellow. Your time or TPH will be monitored very closely if you fall below a 155 which equates to 3 picks per minute you'll receive a coaching after your first week. Music is played throughout the warehouse but it is mostly Spanish music and since you are not allowed to wear headphones because you need to be able to hear your manager call out over poorly optomized walkie talkies you'll be forced to listen to that music on replay. Breaks are short 15 minutes including the time it takes to walk to the breakroom and a 30 min lunch. Management is often confused on follow up tasks and usually clown over walkie channels making it difficult to communicate when you have finished your zone. Other than that the job is pretty easy , monotonous but easy. The only real problem you'll run into is the occasional mood swings from management ,the arm/finger scanner which "times out" kicking back to login every so often and bumping into other workers putting garments back while you are picking.

It was a verry productive and fun working place

The black tux was my first job ever and I learned how to be always on top of the game , they helped with a lot of leadership skills and also gave us classes for us to learn how to build up our skills.

Productive workplace, nice people to work with

Some jobs at this warehouse require a LOT of walking. The job requires you to hit numbers that sometimes feel near impossible unless you are walking really fast all day. The company often changes schedules to fit their needs without asking employees if these hours would be suitable. Lots of process issues since the company is newer, always changing things to try to make improvements though. Very open to ideas but do no always follow up with them. Company does offer some cool perks, earning "dollars" to spend at their in house store on gift cards, free lunch on fridays for their employees, have food trucks occasionally, free healthcare for their full time employees. However, despite their "Holiday" calendar, we typically work every holiday except christmas day and thanksgiving day.

Exciting and Frustrating

Depending on your role, this CAN be a great place to work. Saying they promote personal growth is a bit of a stretch, but I would also be lying if I said that I didn't learn anything new there that I couldn't use elsewhere. A decent stepping stone job, but not a place to build a career. Use it for what it is worth, and get out when you need to.
