A true community starts to build because you start to see the same people every day during the week and it's a very rewarding feeling. | Communication isn't as clear and open as they make it seem during the interview process or training. There is also no room for growth in the company since all the management positions are filled and they try not to have reasons to give you raises. They will train you briefly on the main programs, but then they throw you into the deep end to learn important office management tasks as you go. A lot of stuff I had to learn and do on my own since managers were rarely present (both physically and mentally). You also pick up on it fast that they only care about money and not the members or their employees. They take over 60days to return safety deposits to members and brush complaints aside when old members contact the office staff asking why their refund hasn't been completed yet. There is also a terrible trickle down effect with most work falling down to new staff members without them being compensated with a raise or promotion. This creates a stressful and toxic environment at every level of the company that's already full of egos and micromanaging. All of management are new in their roles and their lack of experience is blatantly obvious in how they address difficult situations. There were a lot of temper tantrums and rude responses back instead of calmly evaluating the necessary steps to be taken. The owner only cares about money and that is very clear in the weekly team video call where he only focuses in on how much income we could make him that week. You need to focus that energy on the wellbeing of your employees and members before you run your company into the ground. Also, for your staff reviews, try to offer constructive criticism instead of reading ungrounded harsh critiques verbatim that were submitted by fellow staff members and management. It just breeds distrust and makes it hard to want to continue putting in hard work when it isn't acknowledged at all.
