- Blinkist is a mid-sized company that's not growing quickly, so career progression is slow and challenging. They often recruit externally for senior leadership. Recommend to interview with other companies simultaneously and leverage offers in your performance reviews in order to get ahead.
- There's a lot of emphasis on team members with "senior" or "head" in their title doing operational work, which can result in difficulty making the necessary time for strategic work.
- Marketing leadership and the level below C-level (L1) could work on being more inclusive and diverse, particularly gender diverse.

My advice for management is:
- Make people's growth plans clear to them - what does team leadership have in mind for them? My lead only told me this after I quit.
- Get more women into Marketing senior leadership and the L1 level - not having any is very unmotivational for younger women in the company.
- Be more clear to people on not just the goal, but the actual strategy and what the big bet is. Providing a goal is important, but also how you plan to get there and what's the bet with that.
