As a customer service representative most of your duties involve receiving outbound calls from customers with questions about their insurance plans. The vast majority of people don’t understand how insurance works, so it is your job as a CSR to throughly explain their plan and what is covered, and how it’s covered. You do get ample training and during training you are free to ask as many questions as you like. There are test you have to take during training which test your ability to comprehend what’s being taught in training, but if you’re paying attention in training you shouldn’t have any problems. Overall, the job is a standard entry level position. It is an office environment so you meant many different personalities, some you may like more than others. All of the phone calls are monitored, and if management hears a call they think you could’ve handled better they will meet with you and discuss it. Overall good job, if you’re willing to put in the work.
