A few weeks later I met with a regional manager face to face for an interview and he thought I was interviewing for the managers position. After taking the outside sales position i quickly realized that our service was sub par.

Opened my dev environment. Queue work for the day. Get busy. Take a 5 minute break. Walkabout. Stay in touch with users. Kept boss updated daily on progress. Bi-weekly staff meetings. Help lead team when I could in design and architecture decisions. Hardest part was sometimes convincing old-school management to consider fresh ideas in design and architecture.
Most enjoyable was the personal satisfaction of delivering a product that was accurate, easy-to-use, and solved a business deficiency.
POWER was my major project. A service and maintenance tool to re-coup rental equipment that was offline and needed repairs to return to rental status. This tool uncovered over 5 million in down capital assets.
One VP commented, "This isn't a game changer, this is a world-changer for Blueline"
Feedback like that is why I get up in the morning and show up with my game face.

I was very sad to find out this company was bought out by another corporation and their headquarters was in North Carolina - so everyone at the Woodlands location was given compensation
