Lack luster hiring
|
|
I heard they were a great company
|
Gave me the runaround 3 time, although the interviewers were impressed no movimg forward and I have a educational background and currently work in aerospace. You're not hiring people with aerospace experience they're hiring anybody.

Huntsville, Kent, OLS all function independently of each other but all build the same rocket. No functional at all.
Get rid of the woke pandering nonsense, this is a professional work environment, not a high school/college campus.

Unstable and Toxic Work Environment
|
|
Newly built facilities and plenty of funding for tools and equipment.
|
The management here is of low quality, unprofessional, and very sketchy. Supervisors will set unrealistic goals for technicians and give bad performance reviews if their expectations are not met. There is no company policy or process put in place for contesting a bad performance review. Managers and supervisors are free to do what they want with little to no accountability. They fire people people here without any explanations, warnings, or write ups.
If a supervisor does not like you personally, he or she can give you bad performance reviews or build up a false case against you to get you fired and their managers and HR will go along with it
without question. You will not be able to contest it because once again, there is no policy put in place to do so. HR and managers will work with supervisors to get a person fired if that supervisor wants to do it.
Supervisors and managers harass technicians for petty things on a constant basis. In my 10 + years of aerospace manufacturing experience, this is the most poorly managed place I have ever worked at. Micromanaging is at a high level and on a constant daily basis.
There are a lot of inexperienced supervisors put in charge of technicians. These supervisors only care about making a name for themselves and keeping their fat paychecks and not the people they are in charge of. The same can be said about their managers as well who are not involved with the technicians they are supposed to be in charge of and mostly stay in the background doing their own thing letting their supervisors do most of their dirty work for them until it's time to make a big decision like fire someone or reassign them.
A lot of back stabbing going on also by other technicians snitching and complaining to management about their co workers. Morning meetings consist of grandstanding with supervisors making poor attempts to boost morale. There are Long periods of time where there will be little work and you are expected to look busy by your supervisors. If you don't look busy, enthusiastic, and motivated all the time when there is no work, they will eventually find a reason to fire you or fabricate one.
If you are already working for a good company, don't risk leaving to come here. You will have very little rights here as a direct hire and be treated like a contractor. They rope people in with higher pay and try them out for a while to see whether or not they like them. The only ones that mostly stay are buddies with either their supervisor or manager.
When they fire someone, they send out a mass email to all the fired employee's co workers saying that that person is no longer with the company and not to talk to them. It's very strange how this company does business. From the outside, this company tries to give off the impression that it's reputable but nothing could be further from the truth.

Better than most

Cool projects, great people working there, somewhere in between NASA and SpaceX in terms of speed to develop
|
Transitioning into a work harder for the same pay kind of company. Raises are mediocre, only way to increase pay is to level up, feels like we are building an inferior product to the competition

Either allow for salaried overtime, or increase pay raise percentage. We want to launch too but the employees are paying for the failures of management to create a company structure that can move fast and having us carry the burden of working more needs to be compensated.
