The company is filled with many older workers that are very close to retirement. Most employees have been around for 20+ years and are very happy working on power builder desktop applications. The web projects I worked on supporting look like windows 95 desktop applications and they were very resistant to updating systems to more modern look and feel. There was a lot of resistance to change. They wanted to use scrum and agile methodologies but could not get out of their waterfall ways. They are workhorses. They do all the main work, but no guidance or direction. The good part is that you can make your job your own, which helped a little, but there is nobody to guide work.
