I had an amazing experience with the medical staff. The owner was what made working there difficult. I gained a lot of experience working as a medical receptionist for this clinic. It is not a place for me personally I could ever grow from. There is a high turn over rate at this clinic for staff. The staff was wonderful, the work itself, though repetitive, felt important and impactful. The only things I really had an issue with was the distance from home, as well as very few opportunities to advance in the business. Rooming patients, gathering CC, medication reconciliation, and vitals. We also work hard to anticipate the needs of the provider. Durning my time at Bridge City I learned a great deal of working with a diverse population. Due to my long history with Bridge City I worked my way to Lead Medical Assistant and often participated in office management decisions. During my time here I was in charge of the hiring and firing of my team of Medical Assistants. This taught me a lot about what it takes to be a leader and how to be a better team member. Unfortunatly, the hardest part of this position was dealing with the CEO. She was an active FNP at the practice. The most enjoyable part of my time at Bridge City Family Medical was working with and getting to know our patients, and other team members.
