Potentially a good company and seems to have once been a great company with amazing employees. Still has potential but remove the rot
|
Terrible recruitment, a lack of action on required dismissals, politics, rampant incompetence, self service by CxOs past and present.
While the CEO was the favorite of the three stooges, CTO called out for a special mention of ineptitude and blinkered bewilderment by repeatedly asking why customers want or need self service in a cloud economy lolz and no ideal on future trends

Initially great future, amazing structure and learning envrionment

When i started, my individual team was very motivated, structured and we completed all tasks within a generally standard time frame, all worked well and i was steadily improving my skills and maturity at work.
Come the new financial year, the company decided to do a bunch of "Economically benificial restructures" aka redundancies due to the mis-management of senior management. This resulted in multiple people being made redundant or leaving in suit. These people in particular were both loyal and a cornerstone of the Bulletproof brand. These people made the company what it was and kept all the bolts together with new projects and ideas.
Around this time, new management was brought in, employees who ironically enough did NOT fit the bulletproof motto. Incorrect staffing choices. Destroying the name of the company.
Around this time i had begun to take on more work then i could and in essence i was a scapegoat for alot of issues. I decided to leave as the job was overworked and underappreciated.
I have alot of good memories with alot of staff there which i cherish. It's a shame it has come to this.

There was a serious 'Boys club' mentality in the team I had, some were wonderful supportive people but that was ruined with the exclusion, sexism and bullying I received from other techs in my team.
Poor training and support with a 'BOFH' mentality much of the time - often if I asked for training or clarification I was snapped at or completely ignored.
Very little disability support, asked my 3lvl manager repeatedly for fair, outside professional assistance to help integrate my disability in order allow me to work effectively (a legal right) and was continually ignored.
As a result of this I was easy picking as the 'newbie' to be fired without warning, stating performance issues that ultimately stemmed from aforementioned lack of support as reason for termination.

Major restructuring resulted in layoffs of some really talented people. During a restructure don't believe any promises management make, when a business needs to cut costs staff come first.
