private:bureauofintelligence&researchinr https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=204095 Mar 2nd, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Bureau of Diplomatic Security Special Agent Houston, TX Diplomatic Security Special Agent - Up to half your career can be spent working at challenging U.S. embassies or consulates overseas in work that feels very meaningful. - You will have almost an entirely new job/responsibility every 2-3 years. - The organization rarely innovates. - The agency is very heavy in the middle and it is extremely difficult to move up. - There is little continuity causing limited professional development in certain skills requiring a high degree of technical proficiency; the same can be said of the inability to work complex investigations. 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 2.0 204095 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 9.0 Jan 12th, 2021 08:40AM Jan 12th, 2021 08:40AM Bureau of Intelligence & Research (INR)

private:bureauofintelligence&researchinr https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=204095 Dec 21st, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Bureau of Diplomatic Security Supervisory Special Agent Washington, DC A job that grows with you Supporting U.S. diplomacy, living overseas, good pay and benefits, lots of responsibility for those willing to take it. Broad exposure to embassy security, dignitary protection, and criminal investigations. Move every 2-3 years, broad mission precludes true specialization, up-or-out system forces field agents into management too soon. Increased world turmoil means more unaccompanied tours and hardship postings. 1.0 POSITIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 204095 Open Focus on fundamentals. Articulate the mission and don't try to sex it up. Don't attempt to appease disgruntled agents who would rather be elsewhere. The job is the job -- if someone is "too good" for it, show them the door. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 20.0 Jan 12th, 2021 08:40AM Jan 12th, 2021 08:40AM Bureau of Intelligence & Research (INR)
