Gained a lot of on hand work experience.

A typical day at work would consist of picking trucks, making sure product is correctly loaded and secure. Visual and Physical tracking trailer inspection before leaving the truck yard. Managed time at delivering orders to multiple locations(stores, restaurant, sporting facilities, bars) Insuring the orders are correct and making sure the customer is satisfied.The hardest part about this job is the physical labor. The most enjoyable part of the job is freedom of driving and customer interaction.

There are about 275 employees but it seems smaller because the two biggest departments, sales and delivery, are always in the trade.
The family business aspect is nice as the owners are visible and know your name. They pay 100% for the health insurance (tufts) and the deductibles are $2000 single/4,000 family. Employees also get regular access to free samples of the product they sell.
It's a fun place to work.

Worst company I’ve ever worked for

This was the most unorganized company I’ve ever worked for. I’d start my day off at 6am and there were days I’d finish almost my deliveries and find out the last of the stops didn’t open till later at night with no pay to wait.

I was hired as a CDL driver but started as a helper. Outside of the benefits this job is inhumane. Hard work is one thing, but torture is another. Hauling 175lb kegs and stacking dollies just as heavy and bringing them up and down stairs all day will challenge your will like nothing else. Especially when you know that you’re not getting paid after 8 hours since they start you at salary. And most days exceed 8 hours. Even when you do over exhaust yourself trying to empty the truck early, you’ll have stops that will prevent that. Traffic being the biggest culprit. Oh did I mention the weather?? Nah I’ll skip that. As far as the culture/employees. Plenty of favoritism and bias to go around as some will only work with who they like. And
These same ppl are left to “train” you. Most don’t take the time to properly train you since they are more worried about getting home early. Never seen so many ppl in a rush to leave work. Yikes, Hope it works out better for you

Great place to work at. It is Union so you are a part of a brotherhood. EXCEPTIONAL benefits package. The only downside is that you cant leave until ALL is picked for the drivers to deliver in the morning which was not in the job description when given a set schedule 7pm to 4am. I remember staying there until 11 am the next morning still picking cases it was insane, the last break was at 2:30 am. This was the eye opener for me. Recommended for the young and fit. Heavy lifting the whole shift so come strong or go home. Also the most memorable thing I remember here was how i was given a birthday card twice with all the burkes wishing me a happy birthday, this I will always remember.
