The location couldn't be more convenient, and I don't have to worry about having enough time to do homework once I get back to my apartment. Tutoring in particular, while challenging, has been incredibly fulfilling and a great starting point for my career in education. I love that I get to designate my own schedule and help with unique people with statistics. However, my hours were cut back constantly as a student assistant. Which lead to me making hardly any money at all, even though in the beginning I was very dependent on that job. I really loved the staff and people who attended Butte College. Altogether, some amazing people with creative minds. They have a learning attitude which also promotes growth through education. There a no typical days everyday is a new learning experience . I have learned to deal with students and staff on a one on one basis. They have a diverse population and management really understands that process of learning. The work place and culture is highly motivated and the hardest part of the job is that it is never hard. Dealing with the students is what I liked the most the enjoyable part was that what I do will be emulated by future staff and students.
