Highlight of my career
Working at BuzzStream as an engineer was the most rewarding work experience I've had. I got to work on so many cool things, always using the latest technologies to solve big, internet-scale problems. The atmosphere was the most professional I've seen; everyone is trusted to make sound decisions and execute. The job is especially rewarding because of all of the positive feedback from BuzzStream's customers. The people at the company are the kind I will always stay in touch with.

Grow, learn, and collaborate in an independent environment
I've been a Customer Success Manager at Buzzstream since 2013 and I'm very proud to be part of the team. The company provides a collaborative environment that has given me the opportunity to grow as a professional and I'm not sure a different company could have granted the same flexibility. I don't just have to wear one hat at Buzzstream. I can actually give honest input on new features and take leadership on different tasks/improvements.
The one thing that I found difficult at first but ultimately rewarding was becoming a self starter, an essential quality to succeeding at Buzzstream. It can be difficult to start a task without a guiding hand to organize and initiate a plan. However, I've learned so much more from planning out a task myself and then asking for feedback than I could've by following someone else's lead.

The best company I've ever worked for. No joke.
BuzzStream has completely changed the trajectory of my career. My teammates are some of the smartest, hardest working, and best human beings to be around in general with the sole exception of my manager, Stephen. (Jk he's actually incredible. I just like to make fun of him.)
I've been given the great opportunity to take over our existing marketing programs while developing new ones, all while learning a ton about the SEO/Digital PR industry. Everyday I know I'm making an impact, and because we're a smaller team, I feel a ton of ownership over my work and my contributions to the company as a whole. And if all that weren't enough, my CEO and manager are both so invested in my career and personal growth. I'm breaking a lot of new ground for myself in terms of skill set and career experience and of course that's nerve-wracking, but I know I have the full support of my team, and that we're all in this together.
Basically, Paul and the BuzzStream team have treated me so well that I was afraid to leave a 5 star review because I didn't want to look like a plant trying to artificially inflate the overall score. I have literally never worried about that for an employer before. I also have never wanted to leave an employer a 5 star review before. Take that as you will.
Also I get to bring my dog to work and I like that a lot.
Some of the employees are remote, which is a little lame because they're awesome people and really fun to be around. No free snacks? There is free coffee though. Occasionally things get stressful but that's true everywhere. Plus our CEO is really good at crisis-management and not blaming people or attacking anyone. My office has no windows so every so often I forget what the outside looks like, but I can always take a walk. Our office is by an ACC campus, so there's always people walking around so I don't feel unsafe or out of place.
As you can tell, all of these "cons" are really nit-picky/not serious. I've seen my fair share of unpleasantries at my past companies (verbally abusive bosses, toxic office politics and attitudes, lack of company vision, lack of people taking responsibility and admitting their mistakes, repeatedly broken promises, sudden lay-offs, etc.), so I know a bad company when I see one. I would call BuzzStream out if I was seeing that kind of behavior, but I'm not. I feel like I hit the jackpot.

Thanks for trusting us to do the work you hired us to do. Weirdly enough, so few managers can bring themselves to do that. I think you guys are doing a great job, and I trust y'all's judgment and am excited to see where we'll take the company.
