I wish I had left my job at the peak of the pandemic, but I was always hoping things would return to how they were when I joined in 2019. Leadership is scrambling to figure out how to sell this soon-to-be-obsolete product. They're turning towards AI, but I promise you- there is not one person high or low that knows how to pivot towards AI. The technology is too un-robust to handle whatever they're trying to throw at it. Godspeed on a sell. The founder leaving in 2019 makes too much sense in retrospect. Support is awful, but so is every other department... except maybe product, but they're working a whole lot of hours for insignificant results. Customers really dislike the CallRail app, and it shows cause the engineers building are miserable and burnt out. Unmotivated employees damage the company’s overall outlook, and they’re also one of the warning signs of bad company culture. leaders and managers don’t offer clear, consistent direction, it’s one of the signs of a bad company culture. When a lack of direction impacts your work consistently, it may be time to find a new opportunity. The pay is low here, so that's why CallRail doesn't attract talented engineers. Support is the worst department. The pay is great but there isnt any room for growth, management will gaslight you and dont ever be honest. Many of us are in some kind if anxiety medication. Now if you work anywhere outside of support it is Golden. Best company to work for.
