They always pay on time. You get paid for every minute you speak, so if you put in the hours you are sure to earn the money.
|
Because you're only paid for the minutes you speak, sometimes you sit waiting for calls and not earning. So you can't spend 5 hours and think you'll get $50 for that. You might not be talking every minute of every hour. It's a low wage for 2024, and not a living in my opinion. It's exhausting talking to new students all the time so until you build a base of regulars, you're emotionally and mentally drained. You're rated by students after each call so anything from their mood to your speed of internet could affect your rating.

You can work your own schedule. Students are mostly very friendly and enjoyable. Nothing more.
|
Your schedule is manipulated by their ratings system. Your ratings are held down below the imaginary level to keep your availability hidden even if you have a high positive rating. They have massively overhired. Very few students for some reason available as they direct the students to the new hires even if you have them for years. They actively contact your students and offer them group lessons for a cheaper price but do not offer you the chance to group teach. The pay is abusively low but the fees and corporate income has increased. Getting any reply from support takes two or three days. Anyone can get hired so they do not value qualifications, experience, or dedication.

Get rid of the ratings, stop hiring for two years. Respect your dedicated tutors and give a raise for God's sake. Give more consideration to the positive ratings and give more access to people that have over 95%. It should'nt be so hard to get classes.
