I had been working in Cambrian for more than 5 years. Great company with exciting technologies and very fast-paced working environment. Most people are able to wear multiple hats and being flexible to learn new things from different fields. The management team has been improving and setting up lots of standard procedures to streamline the work. Meanwhile, this company encourages and promotes innovations! Great place for young and passionate professionals to work!

There are (were) a lot of smart, dedicated people. Challenging and rewarding work.

Unnecessary negativity and criticism from the highest level. high turnover. Glass always half empty. Unequal accountability. People who don't do a lot are applauded, while others who contribute much more are often unfairly criticized. Some teams are over-worked and under staffed, while other teams don't appear to accomplish a lot. Shifting priorities dictated by exec management. Senior mgmt inexperienced.

Unfortunately, too often the employees doing the work are under-resourced. They are running full out month after month. In this economy especially, it's no way to live.

Great Learning Experience & Exposure

Cambrian is a mission-driven company with an awesome, hardworking team. I had the opportunity to wear a lot of different hats and contribute to a lot of different areas. I got some great exposure to senior management and learned a ton about sales, marketing, and what it takes to build a business.
|
There was rarely a dull moment in my time with the company! Cambrian is lean and growing fast, so you should expect to work hard. You also need to be flexible as you get pulled into different things. This isn’t for everyone.

- Fun office environment. Young and energetic staff of scientists and engineers who are highly supportive.
- Wearing multiple hats allows for cross-functional career growth.
- VPs leading teams are experienced and good to work with

- Executive management at Cambrian Innovation is inexperienced, demanding, and lacking leadership experience and qualities.
- Unrealistic corporate objectives result in diminished annual bonuses and compensation adjustments.
- Organization does not promote from within.
- "Thousand yard stare" syndrome is prevalent here. Many passionate professionals have joined only to become subdued to apathy due to the constant stress of unrealistic expectations and missed goals, targets, and/or deadlines.
- Work/Life balance is very difficult to achieve.
- Employees treated as though working for Cambrian is a privilege when it is, most often, a heavy, taxing burden.
