Do not work here
The employees here are friendly and willing to help
Depressing place to be at. The company prays on kids with no work experience and traps them here. There is an insane amount of micromanagement and CEO rewards people with toxic behaviors.
Warning: If you are a foreigner DO NOT WORK HERE. They do not keep the promise of sponsoring your visa. I know a few international students trapped here doing mindless/administrative work, and never got the visa sponsorship and had to leave.

Maybe it's good to reflect on the crazy turnover rate, and how the company has been around for 30 years but never took off.

Worst place I ever worked for.
The co-workers were awesome, but misery loves company.
By far the most overbearing CEO I have ever encountered.
My first few weeks in the company I was asked to email her every day on what I did that day, no bullet points, she wanted details. Something that took 20 min to do daily.
After a few weeks, I was asked to send her a weekly email every Friday with a detailed description of what I did that week.
Slim to no training was offered, used a homegrown CRM that has been built with sticks and duck tape that isn’t fit to run an ice cream shop. Since the CEO literally doesn’t trust a living soul, she didn’t want a vendor to have their data. It made day to day work frustrating.
The place feels dark and depressing. And the only reason they have any 4-5 star reviews is because of the lifers that are working there.

Stop lying to people in their job interviews. Don’t tell them they’re going to be sales reps when the role is a sales rep’s secretary.

If you want to learn a lot
Cambridge Computer is the right fit if a candidate is willing to learn an immense amount of information about technology , isn't afraid of challenges, and is a hard-worker.
It is a great place to work at if one wants to toughen up and understand if technology or sales is something they want to do long-term.
Another great thing about this company is that employees work closely with the CEO and she is always open to new ideas, especially if it is related to the professional education of an employee.
Looking back, it was a challenging place to work at and I didn't realize how much it has built me up in terms of being able to manage a heavy workload, multitask, understand technology and communicate effectively across different departments.
Overall, if you are interested in technology, are hard-working, open to learning new things and willing to take ownership, it is the great place to work at!
May not be a fit for everyone , just like every other company.

Do not rely on just one or two people relaying the updates on employees, changes, issues.
Have multiple channels of communication across many employees, because those very few people relaying the information to the management are not as objective as it seems.

Highly Competent, Experienced and Respected IT integrator
I have been working for Cambridge Computer for 12 years. They are a highly skilled and intelligent group. I have ample access to technical resources when working needed. They have excellent vendor relationships but are not beholden to any one vendor in a particular space. They have an agile, creative and responsive management team. I have really learned a lot in my time here - not just technically, but also how to maintain and grow long term client relationships. I have really enjoyed working at Cambridge.
The culture is not for everyone. You will be expected to stay up to date on technology (even in a sales role). Hard work pays off. You get what you put in.

Sales Support
An entire team of professionals more than happy to assist your career if you are seeking future sales or technical roles. After more than 6 years working with both the sales and tech staff, it has been a great experience watching people's individual development and career growth. Motivated individuals can progress rapidly. Regardless of which path you choose, the learning here is intense. I have learned more with CCS in 6 years regarding technical solutions than I have in all my prior roles and I am so grateful for the learning to be open to all and not restricted by title or seniority.
Not for the lazy; people here work very hard; the culture is one where you come in, put your head down and get to work! If not interested in a future in sales or tech, there is limited career growth as the company is somewhat flat with few managers.

Work hard and you'll be well rewarded
I have worked here for over 17 years; coming straight from college.
This first year or two were a little rough. I had little sales experience in my college internships, so I had to quickly learn ropes from a sales and technology perspective. Once I learned how to (and how not to) sell, I developed a solid client base. Soon afterwards (around my third year here), I moved out of state and became a remote sales rep. Not being tied to the main office allowed me to work at my own pace and schedule, and that freedom significantly increased my productivity.
If you’re willing to put in hard work to build your skills, management will invest extensively in you. The organization structure is essentially flat – where you have easy access to senior management (including a female CEO) on a daily basis. Once you’ve developed your skills, you can move to pretty much where ever you like to do your job.
Lastly, while money isn’t everything, I think it’s worth mentioning that the compensation structure for sales reps (I can’t speak for other positions as I don’t know how they’re compensated) can be very lucrative. The more you sell, the more you make. Your income isn’t capped at any level. Your income is reflective of how much you’ve sold. I’m mentioning this because I know of several large tech companies where they essentially cap how much you can make in a year.
I have seen a lot of sales reps come and go over the past 17 years. As a smaller company, everyone’s work and impact on the company is clearly visible. You cannot expect to go to work each day, do the bare minimum, and get a promotion in a few years. We work in a very challenging industry where you have to work hard in order to succeed.

Flexibility in Career Growth
Great first post grad job -lots of the flexibility to grow your career. No one really knows what they want to do until they start actually doing the work. Example: I started out in inside sales (sales support) and after 3 months really didn't think it was for me. So, I met with the senior management team and we put together a plan for me to be a marketing coordinator. I did that for about 6 months to find out that it wasn't for me and sales was a fit. The senior management team got together, again, and got me back into sales. I've had great success since.
Having a group of people who are willing to help you find your path in an organization is not as common as you might believe. Many organizations hire you for a specific role and if you deviate, you're stuck - there becomes little advancement opportunities.
There is definitely a large learning curve which can be intimidating and overwhelming. But, if you're willing to ask questions and be open to learning then you have the potential to be successful.
