Incredible team: Everyone is very talented, and willing to help others succeed. Legitimate mission: A tech company with a real mission orientation Work-life Balance: Everyone talks about work-life balance, but CM lives it. We have big-goals and people deliver on their commitments, but when people work is quite flexible. Many people walk their kids to school during the day, go to the gym, etc. Real Equity: Open compensation philosophy that ensures people are paid well, and fairly, regardless of gender, race, location, etc.

Sometimes it can take longer than ideal to determine what the goals for a given year will look like which can cause some things to still be getting figured out when the next year starts. I feel like this is pretty common with companies, but it can have an impact. On the positive, once the goals are set they tend to not be shifted frequently so we know what are big focus areas are for the next year.

1. Product development cycles seem to be slower than a traditional startup, so it is perhaps not the ideal place to learn for junior employees;
2. In the data engineering front, access to production data is still very limited, partially because of HIPAA privacy constraints and partially because data analysis is currently (Sept/2022) done by another company;
3. Working in a non-profit health care company may feel a bit boring for some younger people, although there are some interesting challenges like building chatbots.

- completely remote company (even pre-COVID) that understands and addresses the challenges of a fully distributed workforce

- Some overhaul of leadership and key positions in the past year or so, but overall seems to be a positive move that is positioning the company for growth. Just taking some time to settle into a new groove.

This could be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. While it's a non-profit, it's a legitimate tech startup so don't expect a typical non-profit companies that are highly relaxed with minimal accountability. People are expected to deliver and make a large impact. If you don't like being held accountable for growth, results, and impact, you may not have a good experience here.
