Sam could work on some sensitivity training. The high stress level of management position can take its toll on you as a person. Rehab vice president are very standoffish and have little to no interaction with the lower level staff. And if they do the interactions aren’t so great

The staff is great. They are kind and cooperative.
The benefits are good.
Three weeks of vacation.
|
After PDPM and Covid-19 the availability of work has declined greatly.
The pay used to be very competitive but after PDPM they started low balling new hires.
There used to be a lot of flexibility and fairness with scheduling. Now they are clamping down big time with a treatment clock system and they are monitoring your movements.
To me it is no longer worth it to work there unless you have no other options. They don't really care about staff because they can easily replace you in this current climate.

Stop micro managing and the fear and intimidation to motivate your staff! Show more appreciation for your staff and maybe you wont have such a high turnover rate. Then again maybe that is the point so you can low ball a new hire and then give yourself a nice bonus at the end of the year! Care One is on the decline. Wake up before it is too late!
