The worst onboarding/credentialing. Do not recommend.

I work as an RN on the platform - not as an employee of CareRev.
The onboarding and credentialing are EXHAUSTING. It has taken three months and it is still not complete. They tell you only one or two steps at a time. Are not transparent. Extra requirements pop up, delaying even further. They do not know what they are doing and I don't know how a single nurse works for the facilities because it takes so long. I would give up if I was not this far into and literally EVERY OTHER FACILITY on the app has onboarding "on hold". Past facilities no longer have a contract with them..... Try a different app in my opinion.

If you ever get onboarded - flexibility, PRN schedule. Okay pay rates. 1099 contractor.

Pays well, typical travel job
|
You assume all the risks of a travel position (bad assignments, poor attitude from staff, high risk for cancel) with few benefits. You can choose your own schedule to a degree. No one has your back. Overall, pay can be worth the stress if you can handle the burnout.

|
The best part is full autonomy of your schedule, but you definitely feel the effect if being lost in a big company. Takes 48 hours to hear back from anyone.

Because I enjoyed my team, I once enjoyed my job. However, since the last 2 RIF's this company has been a barrier on my mental health. There's no opportunity for growth and the new ELT does not seem to truly take their employees into consideration. Again, my overall team was great. There are no complaints with my managers but you never know what to expect with this company and it's unpredictable. It's not a place that I would recommend one to work at because it isn't sustainable employment. If you are looking for employment security, RUN!

Great pay

Great pay with the company. Interview was easy and great. I like that you can pick up at the last minute and per diem. Only have to precept one shift and then can work on your own.

Poor job security

You can be cancelled anytime up to 2hours prior to shift which is 15minutes before I leave for work. I have been cancelled 4X this week so far. If you will get to work is really just a gamble, the facility doesn’t care they’re cancelling you and CareRev doesn’t either and won’t do anything about it or assist you. Good pay and when you are able to work flexibility is nice. Overall very stressful knowing whether you will get to work or not.

The best part of the job is the flexibility that it provides with self scheduling as well as weekly pay. Pay is also very competitive. The downside is that you are at the bottom of the bucket in the hospital’s eyes. In terms of cancellations, we were usually first on the chopping block, and it became very inconsistent. It worked during Covid season when everyone needed nurses, but not so much after. I’m still on the roster, but I had to find a more stable position.
