They dont appreciate anything you do.

They do nothing but make all the good employees quit and keep all the really bad employees. Did nothing but work 70+ hours a week for multiple locations for 4 and a half years and never once called off. It came time for my raise and they denied me a raise then 3 months later gave me a 5 cent raise. Extremely toxic work environment.

Left to your own devices, no talking in class ladies and gentlemen. imagine what it is like in a concentration camp and you might get some idea. Management is non existent. sipping there cups of tea looking at the workers do there work in there cubicles. Don't speak to anyone or you will get shouted down.
The most enjoyable part of the job is home time.
The best thing I learned about this company is what to stay away from in the next search for a good

Some staff members are wonderful but the owner of company is NOT nice nor supportive especially when you take days off because you have cancer
|
Owner of this company in Darwin is not a nice person.working for him was very stressful and even when you work very hard to get cars done correctly and get no thank you for any of your effeorts.fails keep work n safety in work place and dose not like to fix equipment when needed. Dose not care when other detailing staff don’t check cars correctly eg... tyres or engine for oil level coolient,or cleanliness of car going out to next customer.

Until coming off of furlough leave at the beginning of august I have had just one day of work for about 7 hours since then I have not heard anything from them and I have been with this company for about 9.5 years working in various locations around the uk I feel that I have been left on the scrap heap. I am very disappointed with the company now

I am going to be very honest about this review.
An extremely poor place to work with bad pay. My job in Thrifty was not just a job it was unfortunately a lifestyle as me and my colleagues were treated like animals. During my shifts i had to clean countless amount of vehicles which was completely fine as I signed up for this. The worst part was me and my colleagues could not even take a 5 minute break! as soon as one job was finished the manager would give us another job that was finished then they would throw more work our way! I mean have a heart! we are human beings not machines! If you need a cigarette break then I suggest you drag on it as quickly as possible otherwise a warning is headed your way for "hanging around and not doing duty". The manager was never satisfied with our work the least you can do is praise your employees to boost morale but no, their bossy attitude and ego was always in the way and we all despised this. The branch supervisor was no better as they kept on complaining about how we did not do our job properly (clearly letting out her frustration at the workplace). She would receive angry customers which would make her angry and then let it out on workers. There is no surprise customers have reviewed her negatively on google and other websites. My negative comments are towards higher staff as they do not provide a professional working balance to us. They really do not care about us as in my years of working at thrifty I received no training whatsoever!
working with colleagues was OK as there was plenty of backbiting and snitching throughout our branch which happened daily. The workplace was very unprofessional as workers were "doing private dealings" behind the car wash and secluded areas and surprisingly management do not know!
A typical day at work included starting the shift by cleaning rentals from the previous day (lazy colleagues) then cleaning cars when they are returned. Bringing brand new cars off the transporter and cleaning them. Delivering cars and picking them up from a variety of locations around the country. The only part I enjoyed in this job was driving nice cars and cleaning cars by myself as it gave some good "myself time".

One of the worst companies to work for as pay is awful no proper training or meetings office staff come and go as no one stays there too long. Office staff complaining about drivers & valeters and do their own thing & doing things they are not supposed to do.
