Free bike. Fee gear. Looks good on a resume. Clients are typically great to work with. Not too bad to jump into right out of college. VERY hostile management. All of them. Verbal harassment in the work place. Takes advantage of employees time because they are paid on salary not hourly. Upward Mobility lacking. Job training pretty much stops after the first few months. Favoritism among high end employees. Organized and led structured and professional cycling camps throughout the country. Good leadership from head coaches to aid in undergraduate school work. There wasn't a lot of unity within the coaching team; seemed very individualistic. Many of the head coaches did not respect the interns or give them "the time of day". Not a career move. Perks on bikes, equipment, etc. Travel with camps. Extended lunch breaks allow for a lot of riding. Pay is ridiculous for the background most coaches have.. Upward mobility lacking. Clicky and favoritism evident very quickly. Overworked and raises/promotions based on numbers more than athlete satisfaction. Becomes a numbers game and feels like personal training business in that sense. Management promotes a sense of always challenging each other and showing that you are "right" and the other person is wrong.
