This Company is exactly what the Mortgage industry has become after the Mortgage meltdown of the early 2000's. This company, like many others is just greedy and selfish and only concerned about their profits. Their hard working employees are just an afterthought and not valued or compensated fairly for their hard work contributions as in the past. Nice pat on the back! - Remember ? "The partners" are the only ones who matter. Employees are considered liabilities and can be laid off right before X-mas after earning employee of the month. They offer low pay and expensive benefits with no 401K match. What happened to companies that shared the profits and valued you like real human beings? Good Luck working here. You will see the truth for yourself, if you decide to work there.

The people at Cascade are what make it great - Everyone is so nice and eager to help. They really are the best part of the job! The company is doing great work, and I feel that my job is appreciated. Managers are encouraging, respectful, and open to suggestion. I always feel like when I have something to say, they are listening.
I would highly recommend working at Cascade, even to my friends and family!

If you are African American forget about advancements, loyalty, achievements, being recognized, appreciation, strengths, fairness, etc. You get the point. You will always be a bottom feeder. While others are favorites and get all the help and praises. Favorites get special duties, play on personal phone, get help will their work due to their lack of working. I guess you have to be part of the Mormon community to be treated equal. This place will break you down if you are a hard worker. Ask anyone who work here that was non Caucasian. If you chose here to work watch your back and trust no management!

Poor company with awful benefits and management that doesn't care about employees
|
I have personally been working in the mortgage industry now for over 5 years and would have to say this is by far the worst company I've worked for. Their benefits are nonexistent and management is by all means bottom of the barrel, at least in the collections department. Any seasoned candidate looking for a job I would recommend anywhere else. This is a position I would only recommend to someone with little to no experience who can't get into any other company.

It's not good

Let's start by saying that this company has great potential. However, the catastrophic amount of negligence and poor management within this company is enough to discourage even the strongest of individuals. The VP's that run the various departments run said departments based on their rules that are grounded in their opinions rather than calculated. And if you think your opinion matters, dont kid yourself. This is a finance company ran like a call center. Again, there are hundreds of opportunities, but you'll get those if the VP's actually decide to keep their promises. If you're not strong minded, stay away.

Stay far away from this company

So my experience started out really great. Then the company decided to promote this grey haired chick who dyes it red like every 2 weeks person to be a mgr. BIG MISTAKE!! she became a complete power tripping rude person to anyone that didn't praise her or fit in her click. She would rather talk about her personal life than help someone on her team unless she likes you. If she likes you she will hop right up and help. But if she doesn't like you.. 20 seconds or so keep typing cause you don't care.. then a bothered yeah what's up?? then you can be on your phone checking out websites whatever you want and she wont say anything. I wasn't the one with my phone out on websites etc.Yes people were not doing what they were supposed to but it was her job to control but she cant. She will come up to your area and hover tell you something like she cares and then tell you that VP of servicing is screaming at her and she is getting in trouble!! what MGR says that?? This company is a complete disappointment to have worked for. There are good people there mostly in collections or REO that care but the truth is sad. HR is completely clueless and the company has ZERO structure on how to handle things professionally. There is truth of why I'm not there is that I didn't like/respect the mgr. But to make up stats that were sub par lying about me changing my code to not available? give me a break that was not me at all. and manually entered stats allows you to make it look as its legit so good job screwing me over. I don't miss your company one bit!! I hope the company folds and they realize what a fraud of a person you are!! Customer service is the worst Dept there because she is MGR of it. The previous VP was amazing and should of left right after he did. took me 2.5 years to be over my previous job.. this one 3 months max and it was stage 5 disaster. Looking forward I will take this as a lesson and follow any vibe you get- if it feels off it probably is. Hope this helped someone not apply to this train wreck of a company.

Not much advancement - just keep your head down

The pay structure was very low and based more on how much you are liked by the "cool kids" than your work. They started grading people by how much work you complete and how fast, then failed to recognize people that actually were getting the most done. The manager I worked under the majority of time I worked there played favorites and gave raises and perks to those she liked while everyone else kept working. If you smoked, you got extra long breaks. There is a lot of turnover!
The benefits were available, but very expensive. I couldn't afford to get the healthcare benefits as they rasied them and it was outrageous. Combine that with the low payrate and I am better off somewhere else.
I did make many friends there, just not in my department. I think the culture from the top was good, but the local department level was horrible. There are some company wide parties that are fun and pot-luck department lunches. I did like the schedule and opportunity for overtime during busy seasons.
