Shame that CEO Jarrod Epps is getting hammered on this site - bad reviews from one who was let go in the fall, but these things happen. He's not perfect for sure, but I like working with him as I prefer to be more independent. I appreciate his honesty and openness about funding, direction of the company, but it would be good to know more about our strategies and have more updates generally about the impact of my work.
I've been here two years, and we've gone through different team structures to find what works best. That process has been difficult, as there have been some bad employees and some in-fighting, but that's been cleared up the last six months or so.
Team is quite spread out around the world, so flexibility is needed on your working hours/call times.
Some changes come as a surprise, as we are far apart from each other so some things are communicated a bit later than they should be.

A great industry to be in and a unique product that I believe to be an excellent solution for game developers. Fast paced culture with loads of opportunities for personal growth and development. Jarrod Epps is a great CEO with a talent for hiring the coolest and most dedicated people and creating a very nice and fun work atmosphere.

Typical start up atmosphere, vibrant, fast paced culture, smart, fun, aggressive colleagues, people are passionate about the work, opportunities for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and relaxed time schedule. Come early or come late just get the job done. Jarrod gives you plenty of rope, do the job and you will succeed. All employees are given some ownership, more than they might in some other places. Very diversified company, around 20 employees representing at least 10 countries, no bigotry or bias here. Lastly, I look forward to coming to work every day.

Not for someone who needs constant supervision, not a typical boss/ employee relationship. You're expected to take the proverbial bull by the horns and run with it. If you don't have the drive to succeed on your own stay away. There is no hand holding here.
Work/ life balance, you will need to work flexible hours as it's a small company operating in a big world.
It can be challenging sometimes figuring out where or how to get information needed for a project
Promotion/advancement is totally up to you to initiate
Can be lots of ambiguity, but mainly because a lot of what is being done hasn't necessarily been done before
