Supervisors are easy to reach and willing to help anytime needed. Sometimes it is difficult to get answers from other Staff members. They are delayed in getting back to you. Teaching the students to be able to sew a complete upholstery piece of furniture and see the look of pride in their eyes. Each student was offered jobs after completed my course. The only con in the job as a sewing instructor is that it was a part time job in the evenings. Good benefits. Through no fault of their own CVCC has been experiencing many budget cuts over the years. All NC Community Colleges are for that matter. That leads to anxiety each year with position reductions. You want to make sure you are in a position that CAN'T be cut.
