Amazing culture. I enjoyed every day that I spent with the ChaiOne team. It really felt like a family to me. People are generally kind, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge and help you grow as a professional.

Work can be challenging at times and very fast-paced, depending on the projects. It might feel stressful at the beginning. However, I was lucky enough to be on a team that was super supportive and I had a manager that helped me handling my workload successfully.

Agree with previous reviews about passive aggressive culture especially from some managers which is very disappointing
Picture that is painted in interviews is far fetched from reality
Management is good at saying all the right things in company meetings but do not change their actions
Dont believe they actually care what employees think or the work they do, just care about $$$

Environment is fun! Cafeteria is stocked well with nuts. Friday breakfast is also cool. They have cool projects under their belt and you can get opportunities to work with big clients

Stupid company with no sense of how to function. It's in a business of exploiting people. Company is not going to recognize your value and no promotion will be given. STAY AWAY!!

Agency life means there are turnovers which leads to an influx of new people so it can be hard sometimes keeping track of everyone
This can also lead to varying ramping up times for people and a lot of green talent
Work can be project-based so there are high times (with lots of work) and low times (with much less work), which can take some adjustment

- Semi-remote
- Well known in the local area

- Many interesting projects
- Good sick and PTO policy

- Long hours and always over-promising. This has been a long-running issue where they over-promise delivery or functionality. This leads to many working really long hours and tons of tech debt being piled up.
- Resources are stretched thin. Their reputation and compensation are hurting their ability to hire, so most people are working part-time on multiple projects. This leads to low-quality work, low output, and lack of focus from people on each project.
- Week engineering practice. Engineers don’t know the software stacks, even if they claim they do. They learn either by being thrown on bad-shape codebases or mediocre tutorial series. The in-depth knowledge of technologies is severely lacking, even amongst “senior” staff. Especially in the cloud and web.
- Passive-aggressive culture and high turnover. Almost all new hires leave within a year. Beyond pay, benefits, and hours which are major factors, the overall company culture needs work. It’s very passive aggressive. You get the feeling that half the people there only “tolerate” working with you. Some are genuinely great, but there are many who are passively aggressive.
