Great people and culture
High level of professionalism among colleagues. The company has created a sense of family and a fun atmosphere. Many new hires in the last 2 years that bring extraordinary talent. Just completed an entire office renovation which looks really nice. Senior management shows concern and cares for employees and they promote a culture of teamwork.
Based on the industry we are in, there are certain times of the year where we are very busy.

Very happy to be here
Great opportunity to learn and advance.
Management team seems to really care.
This is my first time working for a small company and I have to say that it's the first time that I actually feel like a person at work rather than a chess piece.
My own boss is great and teaches me a lot, I've seen others commenting that they've had to teach themselves, this is completely dependent on your manager because there are some really good ones here.
Lots of benefits for employees, planned events, etc.
Comfortable work atmosphere, most co-workers are great to be around.
Pay could be better, but it's not horrible.
Some of the technology is pretty outdated.

Zero Integrity
Good stepping stone for future opportunities. Internal team is easy to talk to and willing to help. Learn about a little bit of everything in HR, but you have to learn on your own!
There sure are changes, every month there's a change. The CEO (not Tim anymore) changes his mind like the wind changes. The CFO will throw anyone under the bus for an extra Penny (including clients). The executive "team" is comprised of a bunch of Lone Wolfs. The company overall does not take care of their own employees.. no formal training, do not offer to listen to feedback, and have let go of employees in crude ways i.e. fire someone while they are on vacation with their family OR the exec is out of office and fires someone via email.

So Much Positive Change
Many of the prior reviews are outdated. They have spent a considerable amount of time meeting with employees and working from the ground up to create a new mission, vision and company values. The new CEO is awesome and you can tell he genuinely cares about the employees. While there are high expectations of each employee, it is still an enjoyable work environment.
Being a small fish with much larger players sometimes can be daunting, but as far as work environment I do not have any cons.

Striving to improve.
Checkpoint's management has recognized the areas the company needs to work on, and is working very hard to turn things around. The signs are very positive.
The current staff is very committed to the business and providing superior service to our clients.
It is a competitive marketplace with much bigger players that are better funded. To succeed the company will have to innovate.

Management and Teamwork needed
The opportunity to build positive relationships with clients and some staff.
does not listen to feedback though they ask employees to provide it. Nothing is done to address. You are in constant crisis work mode with no time to review changes or updates that may arise. This keeps the employee too busy putting out fires and they are unable to assist their colleagues or be cross trained.

Poor leadership and processes
Only good thing is that the people who work in the trenches are honest, hard working and caring of others.
This company has had no successful implementation of their business strategy. They keep re-spinning their strategies and have failed each time in past. The leadership does not know how to communicate with their workers, assist them with job resources or groom employees for career development. The worst is there is no good reward system. Beware of managers there who are more willing to play the blame game to their advantage at your expense. If you interview be sure to ask to interview with peers to get a more realistic picture and be sure to ask what you get in merit increases each year.

Real review, not a false employer review
There are good people that work at CPHR. There are people that do care about their work and the product that is provided clients. The camaraderie is great among some of the departments. There are social gatherings that take place that help boost employee morale.
No formal training for any of the admin or analyst positions. Documentation is a word found in the dictionary, and not a priority at CPHR. Potential employees should come with the understanding that you will need to produce immediately while not receiving any training. Training consists of watching your colleagues. Due to the nature of the business and the limited staff on hand, you will find yourself putting in 50-60 hr workweeks. If you are looking for business requirements documents, you are going to have to make them yourself.
Upper management has been given improvement ideas by subordinates only for no action to be taken. Chaos would be an appropriate word to describe how CPHR operates.

Listen to your subordinates. If ideas they propose are implemented, you will avoid having client escalations and get better retention. They are the front line. You have to support your troops. You cannot support them by forgetting and dismissing their suggestions.
