Problematic & Worst Experience
....free lunch on Tuesdays and booze in the fridge?
- hostile environment
- CEO is the reason tech bros get made fun of
- manager was sleeping with the only female ae on the team
- most people cry in the bathroom
- consistent firings and layoffs
- will not give any real answers to any questions you ask
- managers try to bond with their teams by drinking and partying

My Notch Experience
I have truly appreciated and enjoyed my time so far at Notch. There is a wonderful culture here that is equal parts supportive, challenging and positive. There is a confident and exciting path forward both near and distant futures that has really enrolled me in our team's vision. I believe this is top-down. The decisions from our leadership team help me to plan together and make impactful differences. Looking forward to what comes next.
The team here moves at a very high velocity. Although this is a wonderful thing for product and culture, if you're not ready for the fast paced environment it's easy to fall behind.

Would Highly Recommend Notch
I have worked at this company now for nearly two years, I can happily say it has been the most influential two years of my career. In my tenure, I have been gifted the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and fun environment with a tremendous team and an extremely passionate leader in our CEO, Jordan Huck. I enjoy coming to work every day knowing that Jordan and the leadership team are here to fully support me. I have full confidence that this leadership team will be the driving force for my career and personal growth for the foreseeable future. I am so grateful I made the career switch to Notch when I did.
If you are looking for a job that will allow you to learn at a fast pace, be a part of a growing company and make lifelong friends along the way then Notch is the right place for you.

Great experience with a great outlook
- Amazing team working towards a common goal. We share our wins and enjoy each other's successes.
- We have an amazing product and market fit. Throughout this year we have refined our processes and are seeing great success. We are positioned very well for 2024 and I am truly excited to contribute this growth.
- Great communication between departments. Questions answered in a timely fashion, collaboration is frequent.
- Leadership has invested in sales enablement which has been amazing for the team. New staff are ramped quickly and have the tools to succeed.
- Leadership trusts the team. Not micro-managed at all. I value this immensely.
- Emphasis on building partnerships which has allowed me to feel more connected to the industry. These networks have made me more confident in my role.
- Great office space, free lunches, and team-building opportunities.
- I respect the leadership team. CEO is approachable and will get in the trenches with sales. VP of Sales works incredibly hard in assisting our deals and making new partnerships, he wants us to succeed. Head of Marketing has completely changed our processes - we now have a steady stream of inbounds. VP of Ops is a life saver with his product knowledge.
- Honestly, most of the 'cons' I had upon arrival have been ironed out.
- I felt we were lacking direction, but have since identified strong verticals that have brought us success.
- We were lacking sales enablement but this has been heavily invested in.
- We had a strict 2-day office policy that has been relaxed.
- It really comes down to how you function in a start-up environment. Everything still moves extremely quickly. You really have to stay on top of all the moving parts.
- Again, just like any start-up, you have to be somewhat available to communicate outside of 9-5 working hours. At least for sales-related roles as we approach our targets.

Life at notch
I really enjoy working at notch. Everyday is new challenge. Working at notch has given me the opportunity to work multiple different roles, learning so much along the way. The team is really driven to succeed and works hard to achieve their common goal. It's nice to see your feedback and your work impact the business in a meaningful way.

It can be stressful working for a startup, and there are challenging days when your mind is tested.

Continue leading from the front. It's rare to have a CEO be so close to the team helping close deals and solve problems. It inspires us to keep pushing.

If you read one review, make it this one
There were many incredible people working at notch who I am thankful to have met.
Fear of the leadership team at notch has stopped me from posting this, but no one should have to go through what I did at this company, and as a result this story should be public knowledge. In 2022, I was SA by a manager at a company event. Following his “termination” and his actions being condemned in a company wide meeting, I wrongly trusted that the situation was dealt with properly. This manager actually continued to work as a contractor for over 6 months following this incident. I came to learn that this decision was made by a VP and the CEO as apparently this employee was a key risk person and there was no key-person loss policy in place (i.e the VP was not aware of what was happening on his team enough to function without this individual). His employement as a contractor begun after our Chief People Officer had left the company, and his continued employement was intentionally shielded from my view. It is a slap in the face they tried to hide this from me, and it speaks to their lack of respect and consideration for employe’s safety and psychological well being. Not only did the company fail to follow through with his termination, but they failed to warn me that he would be continuing to contribute to the company and give me the option to leave on that basis. Had I known this manager had continued to work at this company in any capacity, I would have left much sooner than I did. In the end, I found about about his continued employement because the evidence was visible in public calendars and company systems. In hindsight, the leadership team’s failed attempt to hide his employment further speaks to their capacity as leaders. They didn’t even think to use private events on their calendars. Further, I had to watch half my team and many other incredible employees who made notch what it was get laid off and lose access to company systems that very day. Meanwhile, someone who was terminated for breeching the workplace harassment policy was allowed to continuously access systems and was paid by the company. It’s an unforgivable contrast. HR was involved in allowing this to happen - I don’t blame these indiviudals - they are kind people. But this exemplifies that their department has no influence in the executive team’s decisions. Therefore, they are unable to ensure the company is a safe place for all employees, as they are unable to uphold the workplace harassment policies that we were all made to sign. I am sure that the leadership team will deny this as they ostracize anyone who chooses to speak out against what really goes on at this company. However, I will no longer be silent as what happened to me the night of the incident continues to impact my mental health. This incident is only one of many poor decisions that the leadership team made that led me to leave. Working here is just as toxic as the many other reviews say. If you take one thing away from this review, please know that especially if you are a woman, this company will not respect or protect you. There is no framework for protection and very few people who will stand up for you because of the fear that fuels this culture. My story is just one example of the countless times this company has deeply hurt people - I know I am not alone. I wouldn’t wish the emotional turmoil this company has caused on my worst enemy. In sharing this, I hope to prevent anything like this happening to someone again.

Advice to management? It will not resonate. They were made aware that this is why I left the company, and made no effort to remedy any part of this situation. Advice to the board - please wake up and realize what is going on at this company. Even an entry level employee can see that this company will never thrive if the leadership team continues to behave this way and make decisions that fuel a toxic and fearful culture, which creates a rotating door of employees. Also, it’s clear that the continual hiring and firing that goes on every 6 months is not working.

Steer Clear Especially Women
-Some great teammates who care about doing good work
-Inexperienced and immature leadership creating a culture of fear to "motivate" team. -Incompetent CEO constantly changing directions without a plan on how to achieve it other than "move faster" -Difficult environment for women - most were let go or have left due to the toxic "bro culture" -Customers take longer to onboard than to churn -CEO claims to have built world-class cultures which shows he is out of touch with reality. Look at the Glassdoor reviews and ratings.

Clearly No Improvement
When I was there, the staff was awesome. Was allowed to work remotely.
The CEO was abysmal and had no idea what he was doing. No ethics whatsoever. No logic used when firing people, many great people were let go with zero notice. Pay was far below competitive wage. Lies told about where you could go with the company. Expectations do not match compensation. Hiring incompetent people in place of those who actually knew what they were doing and decided to leave.
