While at CYC I fell down the stairs and broke my foot.I did not get any support nor did they approve my unenplyment which I am still fighting for.

When I first started it seamed to be a place where I liked to work. But as time went on I found things were not so good the pay was not so good as a paraprofession.

Worked at the South Lawndale site. Management was poor. I did not receive adequate support while there. If you work here prepare to be disrespected, ignored and underappreciated just as others here are. This place also has tremendous turnover due to their treatment of staff. Would not recommend.

Management suck / need more skills

Supervisor are very messy. Work is easy and manageable. Management can be bias. Sad place to work if you not a groupie. Management is really bad at solving problems. Work place is childish at time. They hire only they friends that don’t have a clue to serving the community. Which make the job culture bad. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♂️

its a 50/50 thing..good and bad

chicago youth centers isn't a place to work if you wanna get paid well, stressful at times, not worth losing sleep over, they don't care about people they serve. typical day answering phones, registering kids, management not really helpful, hardest part of the job dealing with unruly kids and parents, the younger kids
