Typical workplace with good pay but mostly focused on company growth
|
Working at CHW was one of the best jobs I had, it felt amazing helping customers daily and doing your part with their issues. There were busy times during the summer and winter with calls coming back to back with hardly any minutes in between but it was manageable. The only complaint I would have is that when the company was switching locations to another state and downsizing in NJ they kept reassuring that no one would get laid off and that the rumors weren't true. Then like a week later they just rounded up almost all of the employees in customer service and laid them off except for a handful. They were doing the best for the company and didn't really think about their employees by giving them such a short notice.

Everything is great on the surface. Until you are realizing the "policy" sold has more holes than a golf course. You are starting and continually do well until 3 undeserving "clique" members pass you by in status and especially $$. Like has been said. Nepotism is everywhere and is almost flaunted .. you can make real $ if you fit the criteria.

RUN. If you cant get their fake pitch and create "specials" that do not exist. $500.00 base pay ans sales associates were told to do anything to get a sale. "Let me talk to my supervisor" lie, :July 4th promotion" lies.
I was fired after 5 days because I wouldnt recite word for word what they wanted.

The work environment is similar to that of Wolf of Wallstreet
|
Make sure you get their early and your already on the phone dialing before your peers. Benefits aren't existant but you make up for it in commission. One phone can literally make you more money than a person who worked 40 hours either weekly or bi weekly. If you think I'm lying check out the parking lot. It's like a car show.

If your a hunter you can make decent money but Nepotism trumps all

While working at choice home warranty I made the most money I ever made out of any job however the favoritism lack of accountability terrible products made my time they’re difficult. There is obvious favoritism for those of a certain faith for advancement in the company and it’s no secret. My coworkers were very cool and there was a lot of laughs to be had with my peers however like I mentioned in other posts they do not pay overtime yet require overtime nor do they give you paid time off. As a commission based sales men there is no honor among the sales man. This is a one call close sale and if somebody calls back asking for you there is way less than a 50-50 chance that they will get transferred to you. There is also no room for adjusting the script to make it your own without getting on management bad side no matter how successful it may be. Overall if you’re looking to learn sales are already good at sales could look past nepotism and a terrible product this is a good place to be but if you want to sleep at night have some kind of job security and feel fulfilled run away!

Middle management is great while upper management would do better at implementing piloted programs instead of off the cuff procedural and process implementation which usually led to low customer satisfaction and abismal work moral.
