Chookooloonks Media LLC is a media and consulting company that helps individuals and organizations find their purpose and change the world. LEADERSHIP COACHING:
Karen Walrond, the founder of Chookooloonks Media, is the former Chief Counsel of one of the largest software companies in the oil and gas industry, as well as the former Chief of Staff of A Fortune 200 corporation. In both of these roles, she gained extensive experience in strategy development, change management processes and corporate ethics management and education, as well as invaluable proficiencies in counseling business stakeholders. Karen is an active member of the State Bar of Texas.
Combining these skills with the concepts of positive psychology coaching, Karen is also a Daring Way™ Certified Facilitator, having been trained in Brené Brown's work on vulnerability, courage, shame-resilience, and worthiness, including the teachings of Daring Greatly and Rising Strong. Karen helps clients from all walks of life discover their own their gifts and superpowers, develop their leadership skills, and learn how to use them in a way that allows them to thrive.
KEYNOTES AND WORKSHOPS:
From intimate gatherings to town halls attended by hundreds, Karen has spoken on a variety of subjects as wide-ranging as creativity (through photography and journaling), leadership, diversity, human resource issues, self-image and social media. Her keynotes and workshops often specifically address how vulnerability -- the ability to show up in the midst of uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure -- is the strongest measure of courage that we have, courage which can help foster innovation and creativity.
