Great Christian culture, a breathe of fresh air to work with fellow Christians. Positives- paid 30 min chapels, co-worker and supervisor support. Great place to work while earning my masters degree, enjoy helping others.
Negatives- prayer center phone calls back to back, emotionally and spiritually draining, not flexible on schedule once it is agreed upon. Management plays favorites with who gets promoted. Constant donation asks

Great Company Overall

I love working at CBN. It's a great work culture and you get to work with great people. The work isn't too difficult and I get get to be creative and have a lot of freedom. I think highly of management and the people I work with. Most people are passionate about the work they do there.
The only thing is that I know several people who have worked there 5+ years who have never gotten a raise. Few advancement opportunities.

Purposeful company with a great mission.

A typical day at work involved praying with callers wanting prayer. I learned that coaching really does matter. The company offered an extensive training program which was great. Still, I was falling short of my goals. My coach scheduled me one-on-one coaching with a veteran. After that, I regularly hit and even exceeded my target goals. This was one of the best jobs I have ever had. I loved the kind work environment and the coaches were awesome. The hardest part was going remote, where the environment was taken away and I found myself working alone in an office in my home while my family was relaxing.

The Co-workers were wonderful. However, management put too much emphasis on selling membership after you pray for the caller. Sales should have been totally reserved for the Sales Dept. It was more stressful than it should have been. The calls came back to back. It was all about donations.

The hour lunch break was great.
|
Role of a Prayer Partner Representative was too important to be water down, overshadowed by the requirement to up-sell membership in most calls.

This job did not have to be stressful. I’m not surprised that once again they are looking to fill a dispatcher position. The training was subpar. They can’t get employees to stay long term because of manager.

Hostile environment, unfriendly, bathroom breaks are not easy to get. You have to hold it until someone comes.
